I work across exhibitions, collections and public programmes, with a focus on lived experience and place. Much of my practice is rooted in the North East and its industrial and post-industrial history, and in the social and political conditions that shape how people live and connect to their past.

 

I'm drawn to exhibitions that make room for overlooked stories, and to bringing contemporary art and heritage into the same conversation.

Recent projects include The Weight of Being, a major exhibition on art and mental health at Two Temple Place in London, bringing together more than 60 artists across painting, film, ceramics, textile and sculpture. Drawing on senior curatorial experience in the public museum and gallery sector, I work across contemporary art and heritage, from gallery exhibitions to community-led projects such as mural festivals rooted in local history.
